Reimagining School symposium looks at creativity in the classroom

The first installment of the two-part “Reimagining School” symposium series was held earlier in January. A collaboration of the Golden Apple Foundation, NLU, Family Action Network and Chicago Shakespeare Theater, the symposium brings together nationally recognized figures in education for a conversation about the ways schools can foster creativity and innovation to raise students’ global competence in a changing world.

The first installment featured Dr. Yong Zhao, an author, speaker and researcher at University of Oregon, and Linda Keane, a professor of architecture and environmental design at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The conversation was moderated by WBEZ arts and culture reporter Alison Cuddy.

Save the date for the second installment of “Reimagining School” on Monday, March 3, at 6:30pm.
