I recently traveled to Poland to represent NLU leadership at the commencement ceremonies of WSB-NLU (Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu – National Louis University). The name translates as “Higher School of Business.”
WSB-NLU graduated approximately 400 students this year in bachelor’s degree programs in business, computer science, political science and psychology. It also graduated students in master’s degree programs in business and computer science.
National Louis has had an active partnership with WSB-NLU in Nowy Sacz, Poland since 1992. Over the years, our faculty have taught courses there and collaborated on developing business and political science curricula. We currently offer NLU degrees in English through our Bachelor’s of Business Administration program and our MBA. We are in the process of exploring expanded future collaborations in Industrial Organizational Psychology as well.
My visit allowed me to connect with faculty, administrators and recent graduates and take in the amazing culture and history of Nowy Sacz and nearby Krakow in southern Poland. I also toured the new state-of-the-art business development center and multimedia-focused technology park called “MMC Brainville.” WSB-NLU is an owner of this business incubator and technology hub that provides employment and internship opportunities for students and alumni, as well as the ability to serve as an economic engine for the region, through shared spaces and access to expensive technologies for entrepreneurs, start-ups and researchers. I look forward to an expanded and mutually beneficial partnership between NLU and WSB-NLU for many years to come.
